The Future Doctor summer programme is an interactive experience that gives students a fully immersive insight into the life of a professional working in medicine. You will explore a broad range of concepts including physiology and clinical medicine. With a focus on the gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological systems, you will explore how the body is meant to be working and what can go wrong.

As well as exploring cutting-edge techniques, there will be valuable insights into the worlds of surgery and medical ethics. Students will also be given the opportunity to
work alongside medical professionals in state-of-the-art medical school facilities in a hospital simulation. This course is especially designed to prepare students who will start at a UK boarding school in September in Years 9 or 10. Sevenoaks School Summer Programme is a two-week academic enrichment course for ambitious students aged 11-17. The academic side of the course involves four modules: Critical Thinking, Social Leadership, Creativity and Digital Skills. Bede's Summer School Lancing is based in West Sussex, east of Worthing and west of Brighton. It is just five minutes from Shoreham airport and has stunning views from the campus of the coast and South Downs.

Architecturally similar in style to Oxford and Cambridge universities, Lancing’s magnificent Gothic buildings include a spectacular grand dining room and an impressive chapel, which is listed as a Building of National Importance. Our English lessons consist of English Skills, Enrichment and Research Projects. These combine to provide students with a balanced programme of language and academic content. The IELTS preparation programme is for students planning to take the IELTS examination, finetuning their English language skills and preparation for IELTS. The programme provides language support, as well as developing key insights and knowledge surrounding the IELTS examination content, marking criteria and examination skills, with a biweekly in-house IELTS mock examination and one-to-one tailored feedback from our IELTS experts. At the end of the course, students have the option to take the IELTS examination. 

Running alongside the Intensive English programme at KCL, IELTS Preparation includes 17.5 hours per week of the specialist Bucksmore Education EFL syllabus, plus 7.5 hours of classes focussed on IELTS exam techniques and practice questions. The age range for students on IELTS Preparation is 16-18 and language level required is minimum B1 (Intermediate) level.

King’s College is a world-famous prestigious university in the heart of London. It is consistently ranked among the top Universities in both the UK and the world. The Senior Academic course is aimed at all those aspiring and motivated students who want to be challenged and have a deeper learning experience.

Each week students receive 12.5 hours of formal English lessons plus 10 hours of tuition in a course of their choice.   They either study Core English or Advanced English depending on ability.  Core English iis for students of levels A1-B2.  Lesson focus on the 4 key skills of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening as well as vocabulary and grammar.   The Advanced English classes are perfect for students who are already proficient in English at levels C1-C2.  They will study literature, public speaking, creative writing and avanced aural skills.

In the evenings, students enjoy a full and varied recreational timetable with sports and activities to complement their learning. Excursions are seen as an integral part of the Summer School programme and are included at weekends. The Oswestry Summer school offers pupils full immersion into British Independent School life. The Future Engineer summer programme, available residentially and online, is an interactive experience that gives students a fully immersive insight into the life of a professional working in the engineering industry.

Leadership develops through a combination of knowledge, tools and experience. Designed as a progressive curriculum that continuously stretches pupils in a supportive and encouraging environment, LIRA is a transformative 2-week development programme for 14-16 year that enables young people to learn, explore and practice the foundations of how to lead themselves and others through a combination of personal coaching, experiential learning and fun excursions.

Run by a team of subject matter experts more usually found within the corporate environment, programme content is delivered using in-person priming sessions followed by individual and group exercises, all of which focus and relate back to the four themes of leading; caring; connecting and exploring. Week one focuses on leadership skills acquisition which are then put into practice over the weekend in a ‘real- life’ simulation experience.

Week two allows students to explore global challenges, applying their newly acquired skills to lead change.

This is a superbly organized academic course designed for international students who are entering a British boarding school to start A Levels or the IB, or who would like a “taste” of British education for the summer. The course includes 7.5 hours per week of intensive English language, with a focus on academic English. Students also study Drama as well as 3-5 other subjects. There is a full programme of cultural visits, sports and social activities inlcuding trips to Oxford, Bath and Bristol. 

A highlight is the opportunity to interact with British student hosts, providing plenty of chances to practise speaking English and make friends. The hosts are on campus at least 50 hours each week. The course includes a formal dinner and dance and full day excursions to cities such as Cambridge, Oxford or London. This is a full-time course with activities every day, including weekends. It is run by Etherton Education, founded in 2002 and with an excellent reputation for preparing students for study in UK schools.
