Oxford
Course Information
About This Course
Cherwell College Oxford offers an intensive Easter Revision Course designed to support A-Level and (I)GCSE students in the lead-up to their public examinations. Delivered over three consecutive weeks, the programme provides structured, high-impact revision in a focused academic environment, helping students consolidate knowledge, strengthen exam technique, and build confidence ahead of final exams.
The course runs across the following dates:
• Week 1: w/c 30 March
• Week 2: w/c 6 April
• Week 3: w/c 13 April
Students may enrol for one, two, or all three weeks, depending on their revision needs and the number of subjects they wish to cover. A-Level students may revise one subject per week, allowing for deep subject immersion and targeted exam preparation. (I)GCSE students can revise two subjects per week, offering a broader revision programme within the same intensive structure.
Tuition is delivered in small groups wherever possible to encourage discussion, collaboration, and active learning. Where a group is not available for a particular subject, Cherwell College provides one-to-one tuition, ensuring every student receives specialist support regardless of subject demand. Students attending in groups follow a 30-hour weekly timetable, while those receiving individual tuition follow a 15-hour weekly timetable, maintaining a highly focused pace appropriate to their learning format.
Cherwell College Oxford is an established exam centre for all major exam boards, and the course is taught by highly experienced tutors with a proven ability to help students improve performance under exam conditions. The Easter Revision Course places strong emphasis on subject revision, exam technique, past paper practice, time management, and effective study skills, enabling students to identify gaps, refine understanding, and maximise marks in their forthcoming examinations.
Both residential and non-residential options are available. Residential students are accommodated at Cherwell House, the College’s purpose-built student residence located approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the Study Centre. Both the accommodation and teaching site are based in central Oxford (OX1 area), providing a safe, convenient, and inspiring setting for concentrated academic progress.

Testimonials
"I have participated in Cherwell College Oxford’s Easter Programmes since my GCSEs, and decided to move to Cherwell full-time last year, for my final year of A-Level studies. All my tutors are very passionate about their individual disciplines, making my tutorial experience most engaging. At the same time, life at Cherwell House is a perfect mix of different cultures and ideas. I am surrounded by students who have such vastly different interests that it has prepared me, I feel, for life at University." - LV, former student from Switzerland
“The teachers are so kind and approachable” - SG, former student from Singapore
