Course Information
About This Course
The Adventurers and Pathfinders Programme offers a high-quality academic and cultural learning experience for younger students aged 7–12, set in the heart of London. Based at DLD College London in Westminster, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament and overlooking the River Thames, the programme provides an inspiring environment where learning is closely connected to the city itself.
This programme is designed for day students, with learners arriving each morning and returning home in the early evening. It is ideal for families seeking an enriching educational experience without overnight accommodation, while still benefiting from a central London location and excellent facilities.
Adventurers (ages 7–10) and Pathfinders (ages 11–12) follow the same daily timetable and programme structure. Lessons are delivered by experienced primary teachers and adapted to suit each age group. Adventurers are supported in building confidence, curiosity and communication skills through hands-on activities, while Pathfinders are encouraged to engage more deeply with the same content, developing greater independence, reasoning and problem-solving skills within the shared learning framework.
The academic programme is cross-curricular and project-based, integrating English with subjects such as applied maths, science, social studies and the arts. Learning is organised around weekly themes that connect classroom lessons with real-life experiences in London. English language development is embedded naturally throughout the programme, helping students improve their skills through meaningful communication rather than isolated language study. The programme is suitable for learners with a minimum English level of A2 on the CEFR.
Afternoons focus on exploration and enjoyment, with supervised excursions that bring the morning lessons to life. Students explore London through age-appropriate visits, creative activities and outdoor experiences, as well as sports and games in nearby parks. These activities help maintain high levels of engagement while supporting social development and teamwork.
A typical day includes structured morning lessons, regular breaks, lunch and relaxation time, followed by afternoon trips or activities. The daily schedule is carefully balanced to ensure students remain focused, energised and motivated throughout the day.
The Adventurers and Pathfinders Programme provides a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment for younger students. By combining academic learning, English language development and exciting exploration in central London, the programme helps children grow in confidence, curiosity and independence while enjoying a memorable educational adventure each day.
