Making the most of Sedbergh’s idyllic surroundings and outstanding facilities, the multi activities programme provides pupils with the perfect opportunity to experience a range of the most popular activities. With everything from Cookery and Coracle Building to Ultimate Frisbee and Zorbing, pupils make the most of both school campuses, sampling a range of different activities led by a dedicated team of activity staff

Collingham is a family centre located in Kensington, central London. Classes are held in an impressive building on six floors, 5 minutes’ walk from Gloucester Road and Earl’s Court Underground Stations. It is in a safe residential area.

Rossall Summer School is designed to appeal to boys and girls from all over the world; situated on our traditional school campus where the students have plenty of space to learn and explore. Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills and cultural experiences. This Summer School is designed to appeal to boys and girls (aged 11-17) from all over the world, running throughout the summer holidays, on a stunning coastal campus, with plenty of space to learn and explore. Careful consideration is given to ensure that all communication during the student’s time at Rossall Summer School is in English. With this in mind, they endeavour to recruit a good balance of nationalities in our Summer School. International students will also have the opportunity to mix with native English students in the boarding houses, at mealtimes and during evening activities. 

Students study in small classes (maximum 12 students) and in addition to English tuition students can choose from a range of specialised skills, including (depending on the week), tennis, golf, cookery, and football.  There are also Music options.  The Rossall Summer School offers a wonderful chance to make lasting memories and unforgettable experience within an outstanding British boarding school which is nationally recognised for its football, golf, musical and artistic offerings.

This stunning location between the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales allows students to take full advantage of the wealth of outdoor pursuits on offer.  Pupils fully immerse themselves in an English and outdoor adventure programme with other young people from across the world.

This exciting outdoor adventure programme challenges both body and mind, taking full advantage of the stunning natural landscape that surrounds Sedbergh. Whether you’re navigating rugged hills, paddling across serene lakes or abseiling down a waterfall, pupils engage in a variety of thrilling activities including abseiling, caving, climbing, kayaking and ghyll scrambling.

The Junior Academic course offers young students a fun and hands on learning experience. Specially designed to engage young learners, this course offers a range of stimulating learning experiences in English.

Class sizes are small (maximum 10 students per class) and students are taught by specialist teachers, offering a range of subjects from Art, DT and Performing Arts to Science, Mathematics, ICT and Humanities. Students will receive 15 hours of English plus 10 hours of other academic subjects per week.

Aimed at encouraging experiential and thematic learning, students will spend at least one afternoon a week outside the classroom on project work in the local environment. Fun, active and stimulating, this course will build confidence in communicative English as well as preparing students academically.

This course is ideal as a stand-alone course for students who wish to boost their English level and confidence or for those wishing to enter into the British independent school system.

Bede's Eastbourne centre is located on the coast, in the seaside town of Eastbourne and safely connected to the beach. This compact centre, founded as the first Bede’s School in 1895, has the feel of a family home and offers a safe and welcoming environment for our youngest students. The academic, social and cultural programme is carefully designed to educate and inspire our youngest learners.

The Little Explorers course is full of lessons, activities, events and excursions that give students a great introduction to the UK. Lessons are in small classes with a syllabus and materials perfect for young learners. Activities make use of our outstanding facilities and are designed around the interests of younger students.

The evening entertainment programme provides an opportunity for recreation and fun and is designed to immerse students in the English language and culture in a stimulating and innovative way.

Excursions enable students to visit places of interest, students will go on a half-day trip on Wednesday afternoons and full-day trips on Saturdays and Sundays to our exciting range of historic, cultural and fun attractions and destinations.

Please note that a non-residential option is also available for children coming to Eastbourne with their parents on a family holiday. Please ask for details. 

Because of Plumpton College’s amazing, state-of-the-art facilities, English Summer Immersion allows students to experience a wide range of unique summer activities alongside an intensive and interactive English language academic programme. Local British teenagers and students will join students across the course to create a truly international and immersive experience.

We are removing the need for students to choose an ‘English Plus’ option and including everything in this programme including animal care at Plumpton’s state of the art veterinary centre, adventure sports, cooking classes, wall climbing and e-sports all on site! 

This is ideal for those students looking to improve their English while having fun and interacting with students across the globe. If students are on their first trip away from home the rural and secure location of Plumpton college will be perfect for them.

The price is all inclusive of meals, transfers, accommodation, student insurance and our 365 after-care package.

Level of English: all levels

The Glastonbury Campus is ideal for younger children who want to improve their English whilst making friends from all over the world and take part in a wide range of sports and other activities. Morning options inlcude General English or Academic Explorers which is suitable for children from age 9-11 with a higher level of English and involves improving language skills through studying other academic subjects.

The school is located in Glastonbury and excursions are arranged to local castles, museums and amusement parks. This is a residential course with 24-hour supervision. Afternoon activities include cooking, dance, football, golf, horse riding, swimming, tennis, and outdoor adventurers.* The course is held on the campus of Millfield Prep Schoo which has fantastic facilities including a riding arena and climbing wall.  

*  Students are assessed on arrival and put into the appropriate level group for Academic Explorers.

* There is an option of taking a Trinity exam. This can be taken at the end of week 2 and 4. The exam is a spoken exam, however not mandatory.

* The option for horse riding is available to the Street campus.

* The Glastonbury campus offers a petting of the horses.

Tuition  

The English language courses provide 15 hours of tuition per week, with Academic Explorers:

• Academic Explorers - suitable for all abilities with students participating. Students will also be able to develop their language learning skills by studying specific subjects such as history, geography, environmental sustainability, science, maths, and creative writing.

Activities & Clubs    

A wide range of energetic and creative activities are offered for students to take part in for four afternoons a week. Children will get the opportunity to explore new and fascinating age-appropriate activities to ensure they are engaged, learning, and most importantly having fun through the high-quality and comprehensive programme, please click here to view the list of activities. Excursions and Social Programme  

The full social programme is provided and is included in the course fees. This ensures that every student is kept busy and has maximum opportunity to practice English whilst making friends with students from around the world, in a fun and enjoyable environment, making every moment special.

Bede's Summer School Windlesham is set in beautiful grounds which extend over many acres of the Sussex Downs countryside of West Sussex, between the villages of Washington and Findon, north of the town of Worthing.

The spacious campus, which welcomes up to 130 students per week, creates a real sense of freedom and connection to nature. Combined with the secure and safe location, this makes Windlesham the perfect site for young children who want to be part of a small, lively community. Young people’s innate curiosity about the natural world can be harnessed to engage them about their relationship with nature and present and future global ecological challenges.

In this programme, our students develop their English communication skills through their experience of learning about, and learning in nature. This fully-inclusive programme includes sports and activities every afternoon. Professional academies are available in a variety of sports and other activities. The evening entertainment programme provides an opportunity for recreation and fun and is designed to immerse students in the English language and culture in a stimulating and innovative way. Excursions enable students to visit places of interest. These can include a cultural visit to a castle, museum or palace, a visit to a popular tourist attraction such as Big Ben, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds or something more recreational such as a trip to an aquarium, theme park or zoo.

SKOLA is a premier junior English language summer school in Regent's Park for 5-to-17-year-olds. They welcome over 1200 students from 70 countries making it one of the most popular schools in central London. The residence for 12-to-17-year-olds is in historic Marylebone. It is a short walk from the school and has single-room accommodation. 

SKOLA welcomes families looking to holiday in London. Parents can also take courses in the same location. Some of the students stay with family already living in London. 

All levels of English accepted.  These courses are not suitable for native English speakers.

SKOLA's English Summer School at Gloucester Gate by Regent's Park, London is perfect for younger students taking their first steps in English.

TWO courses are offered:  Intensive English Language and Advanced English.  The course is run alongside the school's day camps for local children, and all activities are shared between British and international children, resulting in total immersion in the English language.  Having run for ten years, the summer school is delivered and staffed by Bromsgrove School employees and ex-pupils, providing a safe and comfortable experience. Pastoral care is second to none, with the summer school adhering to the same high standards as Bromsgrove's year-round programme. 

Course fees are fully inclusive and cover  airport transfers, accommodation, meals and snacks, laundry service, all lessons and activities, two day trips and one evening excursion per week, and transfers to/from Birmingham or Heathrow airport. The activities sessions are also attended by local day pupils so that the international pupils have the chance to practise their English naturally. Activities on offer include a massive selection – sports, creative arts and technology, dance, fitness, cookery, team games and just about anything else you can think of! Full day excursions are included to destinations such as Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Shakespeare’s Stratford, Oxford and London.

This summer school is managed and operated entirely by Bromsgrove School and its staff, maintaining the same high standards as the year-round school programme with outstanding pastoral care.  Many of the newyear round students attend the summer school before enroling in the main school.
