The Creative Arts course let students embark on an exhilarating journey into the realms of theatre, media and film.
Tailored for pupils of all ages and language abilities, English + Creative Arts offers a minimum of 15 hours of English each week alongside 4 afternoons of action-packed workshops and expert-led sessions including, stage combat, puppetry, circus skills and dance. Pupils explore the secrets of the stage culminating in a short performance/showcase at the end of the week where they can demonstrate all they have learned.
For 2025 Sedbergh offers a London Experience trip that includes the opportunity to visit lots of great attractions and then on to Harry Potter World.

By recognising the increasingly influential role music technology plays in contemporary music production, this course introduces students to the most relevant skills and techniques needed by anybody wanting to become a music producer or explore the music industry.
This course is partnered with leading electronic musical instrument maker, Roland. Students attending the course will receive: GoCreate & Roland certificate of completion, Graded qualification from GoCreate Examinations and University Certificate of completion.
St Edward’s School is a co-educational day and boarding school, 15 minutes from the centre of Oxford. Surrounded by over 90 acres of playing fields, the school offers an interesting mix of historic and modern architecture. Founded in 1863, the school offers a wonderful suite of facilities for Bucksmore’s programmes including a music centre and recording studio, modern classrooms, a collegiate style reading room and a 1,000-seater hall. This, paired with a range of sports facilities makes St Edward’s one of Bucksmore most prestigious boarding school venues.
This two-week programme helps students to develop their dance technique and repertoire, as well as giving them invaluable experience of performing to a live audience. Dancers join English Plus students for their English lessons, which consist of 12½ hours per week of English Skills. The evening entertainment programme provides an opportunity for recreation and fun and is designed to immerse students in the English language and culture in a stimulating and innovative way. Weekend excursions enable students to visit places of interest. These can include a cultural visit to a castle, museum or popular tourist attraction such as the Tower of London or something more recreational such as a shopping trip or visit to a theme park.
On the last Friday, students will perform a demonstration of the work covered in both Classical Ballet and Contemporary training sessions in front of an audience. The performance will include new choreography, created in participation with the students during the course. All dance training is delivered by the ex-ballet dancer and industry professional, Mr Paul Liburd MBE.
This is an ideal course for students interested in theatre, media and film studies. Students take part in a number of theatre workshops in characterisation, conveying emotion, comedy, stage combat, body language, voice projection, stage craft and timing. Students have the opportunity to be part of short productionsperformed to an audience and to try lead and supporting roles.
They have the opportunity to write and perform their own scripts and screenplays, study set and costume design and the useof visual and audio effects. They have the opportunity to visit and perform on stage at a theatre in the world famous Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, and will see a professional show or production.
