Bath Academy's well-established Junior Summer School is the perfect choice for teenagers who want to study English in a beautiful city that is not only considered one of the safest in the UK, but is also full of culture and history and a designated UNESCO heritage site. The school is located in the heart of Bath, a busy and vibrant university town with plenty of sporting and cultural activities.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, students are offered a variety of excursions around the beautiful south-west of England. Bath Academy offers fantastic residential accommodation; there are boarding houses for groups and individuals (limited numbers) as well as homestay options. Residential accommodation is also available at the University of Bath, the YMCA, and Serviced Apartments.  All locations are located at a short distance to the Academy.

The school welcomes students from all over the world, including both individuals and groups. Aimed at 12-16 year olds , classes have a maximum of 13 students per class, and all teachers are fully qualified English Language teaching professionals, vetted according to British Council and UK standards.

In the afternoons students can choose between a wide range of afternoon activities or to attend more English Language lessons.  At this Junior Summer School, Bath Academy only accepts smaller groups and individuals which creates a wide mix of nationalities where the empahsis is on educaiton, making friendships and fun!

Rossall's stunning coastal campus is situated on the Fylde Coast in North West of England. Just one-hour’s drive from Manchester and Liverpool airports.

Rossall Summer School is designed to appeal to boys and girls from all over the world; situated on our traditional school campus where the students have plenty of space to learn and explore. Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills and cultural experiences. This Summer School is designed to appeal to boys and girls (aged 11-17) from all over the world, running throughout the summer holidays, on a stunning coastal campus, with plenty of space to learn and explore. Careful consideration is given to ensure that all communication during the student’s time at Rossall Summer School is in English. With this in mind, they endeavour to recruit a good balance of nationalities in our Summer School. International students will also have the opportunity to mix with native English students in the boarding houses, at mealtimes and during evening activities. 

Students study in small classes (maximum 12 students) and in addition to English tuition students can choose from a range of specialised skills, including (depending on the week), tennis, golf, cookery, and football.  There are also Music options.  The Rossall Summer School offers a wonderful chance to make lasting memories and unforgettable experience within an outstanding British boarding school which is nationally recognised for its football, golf, musical and artistic offerings.

Because of Plumpton College’s amazing, state-of-the-art facilities, English Summer Immersion allows students to experience a wide range of unique summer activities alongside an intensive and interactive English language academic programme. Local British teenagers and students will join students across the course to create a truly international and immersive experience.

We are removing the need for students to choose an ‘English Plus’ option and including everything in this programme including animal care at Plumpton’s state of the art veterinary centre, adventure sports, cooking classes, wall climbing and e-sports all on site! 

This is ideal for those students looking to improve their English while having fun and interacting with students across the globe. If students are on their first trip away from home the rural and secure location of Plumpton college will be perfect for them.

The price is all inclusive of meals, transfers, accommodation, student insurance and our 365 after-care package.

SKOLA's English Summer School at Gloucester Gate by Regent's Park, London is perfect for younger students taking their first steps in English.

Students learn English in the morning, have lunch, and then follow an afternoon programme of sports, arts, excursions, and leadership. Each week has a theme, and students present their projects to their peers in English every Friday afternoon. Many students join our coach out of London on Saturday, to visit historic places like Oxford, Windsor or Brighton.

They visit the best sights and museums in London once a week and can join the Discover England excursion on Saturday if a parent accompanies them on the trip.

The Millfield English Language Holiday Course offers English language tuition together with a full activity, social and cultural programme. This residential summer course is open to students aged 12-17. They offer various dates in standard blocks of 2, 3, 4 and 6 weeks. 

The Millfield English Language Holiday Course is accredited by the British Council and all teachers are either appropriately trained to teach English as a Foreign Language or are Subject Specialists.

Tuition  

The English language courses provide a minimum of 15 hours tuition per week. There are 3 types of course to choose from.  

• General English – suitable for all ages and levels of learners. General English provides the opportunity to sit the Trinity College GESE exams – an internationally recognised qualification.  
• Academic English – a course designed to develop students’ English through academic study in an English-speaking education setting.  
• Global Studies – designed for students who want to learn about themselves and their place in the world, through exploring some of the current major topics facing the world today.  

‘English Plus’ can be selected as an afternoon option increasing English tuition to 23 hours per week when doing General English and include:  

• English Literature   
• Presentation Skills  
• Debating Skills

The eSports coaches are ready to provide you with personalised instruction and training, helping you elevate your gameplay to new heights. Excursions, evening activities, and special events provide diverse and quintessential English experiences, so every moment is special. This impressive course follows Millfield’s ethos so students can discover their brilliance and get a true slice of the school.  

SKOLA is a premier junior English language summer school in Regent's Park for 5-to-17-year-olds. They welcome over 1200 students from 70 countries making it one of the most popular schools in central London. The residence for 12-to-17-year-olds is in historic Marylebone. It is a short walk from the school and has single-room accommodation. 

SKOLA welcomes families looking to holiday in London. Parents can also take courses in the same location. Some of the students stay with family already living in London. 

All levels of English accepted.  These courses are not suitable for native English speakers.

TWO courses are offered:  Intensive English Language and Advanced English.  The course is run alongside the school's day camps for local children, and all activities are shared between British and international children, resulting in total immersion in the English language.  Having run for ten years, the summer school is delivered and staffed by Bromsgrove School employees and ex-pupils, providing a safe and comfortable experience. Pastoral care is second to none, with the summer school adhering to the same high standards as Bromsgrove's year-round programme. 

Course fees are fully inclusive and cover  airport transfers, accommodation, meals and snacks, laundry service, all lessons and activities, two day trips and one evening excursion per week, and transfers to/from Birmingham or Heathrow airport. The activities sessions are also attended by local day pupils so that the international pupils have the chance to practise their English naturally. Activities on offer include a massive selection – sports, creative arts and technology, dance, fitness, cookery, team games and just about anything else you can think of! Full day excursions are included to destinations such as Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Shakespeare’s Stratford, Oxford and London.

Bromsgrove is one of the top ten day and boarding schools in the UK but also excels at sports - they have featured as a top six school for sport, across 26 different sports for many years. 

Age groups are 8-11 and 12 -15 (parents are welcome to accompany children aged 5-7).

The trip will wrap up with a magical visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter, where you'll step into the wizarding world to relive the magic of these beloved films, before travelling to Sedbergh to continue your Summer School journey, joining our English + Multi-Activities programme for the remainder of the week.  Pupils will travel by coach to Sedbergh and arrive on 1st July where all children will take part in a multi activities course until Saturday 5th July. For their second week children will then enrol on their chosen programme of English + Creative Arts or English + Multi Activities or English + Multi Sports or English + Outdoor Adventure or Leadership and International Relations Academy. 

This prestigious international summer programme is run by one of the most well known independent schools in the UK. It has been operating for over 40 years and every year welcomes boys and girls from over 35 nationalities.  It is suitable for students learning English as an additional language and for those who are already fluent.

There are academic courses in EAL, Literature with Creative Writing, Computing, International Citizenship (for ages 13-16), Social Entrepreneurship (for ages 13-16) and Our Natural World (for ages 8-12) - Staffing ratio is 1:3 

The summer school encompasses the Gordonstoun philosophy of internationalism and learning through challenge. • Sevenoaks is are proud of the diversity in the programmes. Last year, 60 countries were represented across the student body. Sevenoaks School Summer Programmes mirrors the ethos of Sevenoaks School and its students – to be inquisitive, internationally-minded, and forward-thinking. Bede's Summer School Windlesham is set in beautiful grounds which extend over many acres of the Sussex Downs countryside of West Sussex, between the villages of Washington and Findon, north of the town of Worthing.

The spacious campus, which welcomes up to 130 students per week, creates a real sense of freedom and connection to nature. Combined with the secure and safe location, this makes Windlesham the perfect site for young children who want to be part of a small, lively community. Young people’s innate curiosity about the natural world can be harnessed to engage them about their relationship with nature and present and future global ecological challenges.

In this programme, our students develop their English communication skills through their experience of learning about, and learning in nature. This fully-inclusive programme includes sports and activities every afternoon. Professional academies are available in a variety of sports and other activities. The evening entertainment programme provides an opportunity for recreation and fun and is designed to immerse students in the English language and culture in a stimulating and innovative way. Excursions enable students to visit places of interest. These can include a cultural visit to a castle, museum or palace, a visit to a popular tourist attraction such as Big Ben, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds or something more recreational such as a trip to an aquarium, theme park or zoo.

Collingham is a family centre located in Kensington, central London. Classes are held in an impressive building on six floors, 5 minutes’ walk from Gloucester Road and Earl’s Court Underground Stations. It is in a safe residential area.

Dicker, home of Bede’s Senior School, is based in a small village in the middle of the South Downs, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Designed to reflect the feeling of life in a rural community, the spacious campus offers accommodation for up to 250 students and has five boarding houses that inspire a sense of community and belonging – ideal for both more reserved and confident students.

Lessons consist of English Skills, Enrichment and Research Projects. These combine to provide students with a balanced programme of language and academic content, and the opportunity to sharpen their communication and interpersonal skills. For those looking to obtain a qualification, the Trinity GESE and Cambridge B1 Preliminary exams are also available.

In addition, students can create a more intensive study programme by choosing up to two Academic Academies per week in subjects such as Creative Writing, English Literature, Maths and Presenting. This fully-inclusive programme also features sports and activities every afternoon. Professional academies are available for a variety of sports and other activities such as Adventure & Water Sports, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Contemporary Dance, Drawing & Painting, Golf, Horse Riding, Performing Arts, Pottery & Ceramics, Rugby Skills and Tennis. Supplements are payable. Academies are subject to availability and a minimum number of enrolments.

The Summer School has been running since 1970 at Hurtwood House, a family run boarding school with an international reputation for academic excellence and fantastic facilities. The Summer School offers structured and lively English language teaching combined with a fun and interesting range of trips and activities. The school is in an idyllic, safe location in the Surrey countryside within easy reach of London.

This is a resisential course.  All levels of English catered for.  Not suitable for English native speakers.

Shrewsbury is well-known as a traditional independent school. It was founded in 1552 and has Charles Darwin amongst its famous 'old boys'. It is situated across the River Severn from the lively market town of Shrewsbury. Manchester and Birmingham airports are approximately 1.5 hours by road; London Heathrow 3-4 hours.

It has an outstanding campus with both traditional and modern buildings. The school's impressive sporting facilities include sports pitches, an astroturf, tennis, squash and fives courts, an indoor sports hall and 25m 6-lane swimming pool. There are large IT suites, an art studio and a theatre.

This is an all-inclusive package that mixes learning and fun.
