Dicker, home of Bede’s Senior School, is based in a small village in the middle of the South Downs, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Designed to reflect the feeling of life in a rural community, the spacious campus offers accommodation for up to 250 students and has five boarding houses that inspire a sense of community and belonging – ideal for both more reserved and confident students.

Lessons consist of English Skills, Enrichment and Research Projects. These combine to provide students with a balanced programme of language and academic content, and the opportunity to sharpen their communication and interpersonal skills. For those looking to obtain a qualification, the Trinity GESE and Cambridge B1 Preliminary exams are also available.

In addition, students can create a more intensive study programme by choosing up to two Academic Academies per week in subjects such as Creative Writing, English Literature, Maths and Presenting. This fully-inclusive programme also features sports and activities every afternoon. Professional academies are available for a variety of sports and other activities such as:

The evening entertainment programme provides an opportunity for recreation and fun and is designed to immerse students in the English language and culture in a stimulating and innovative way. Excursions enable students to enjoy visiting places of interest. These can include a memorable cultural visit to a castle, museum or palace, a visit to a popular tourist attraction such as Big Ben, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds or something more recreational such as a trip to an aquarium, theme park or zoo.

The Senior Academic course is aimed at all those aspiring and motivated students who want to be challenged and have a deeper learning experience.

Each week students receive 12.5 hours of formal English lessons plus 10 hours of tuition in a course of their choice.   They either study Core English or Advanced English depending on ability.  Core English iis for students of levels A1-B2.  Lesson focus on the 4 key skills of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening as well as vocabulary and grammar.   The Advanced English classes are perfect for students who are already proficient in English at levels C1-C2.  They will study literature, public speaking, creative writing and avanced aural skills.

In the evenings, students enjoy a full and varied recreational timetable with sports and activities to complement their learning. Excursions are seen as an integral part of the Summer School programme and are included at weekends. Our trips are designed to extend the classroom curriculum and to provide exciting and enriching cultural experiences.

Collingham is a family centre located in Kensington, central London. Classes are held in an impressive building on six floors, 5 minutes’ walk from Gloucester Road and Earl’s Court Underground Stations. It is in a safe residential area.

The EAL course welcomes students at all levels of English proficiency. You will be placed in groups depending on your level, with the goal of improving your English skills. The course includes 20 hours of tuition per week taught by our highly experienced, Bryanston EAL-trained staff.

In the second week, you will develop skills for a Public Speaking qualification*, where you will present on a topic of your choice, recite a poem and take part in a Q&A session on your chosen subject. An external examiner will assess your skills on the final Friday of the course. Successful candidates will receive an ESB (English Speaking Board) certification, recognising their achievement.

Each afternoon, you will enjoy an array of activities using our extensive state-of-the-art facilities across our stunning campus, including outdoor sports, equestrian, skateboarding, swimming, djing and much more.

The Millfield English Language Holiday Course offers English language tuition together with a full activity, social and cultural programme. This residential summer course is open to students aged 12-17. They offer various dates in standard blocks of 2, 3, 4 and 6 weeks.

‘English Plus’ can be selected as an afternoon option increasing English tuition to 23 hours per week when doing General English and include:

Project-based EFL class (7 hrs per week) - the younger age range will work in groups to create a project using Project-based Methodology, while the older age group will choose an afternoon Expert Class to work on a specific project such as Business Innovation Challenge, International Relations and Debating, Design & Manufacturing, Science, Coding, Film-making, IELTS Preparation

Focus Activity (8 hrs per week) - students choose an activity to focus on over each week. Some examples are: Haileybury's Got Talent, Hockey, Football, Basketball, Great Haileybury Bake Off, Tennis, Arts & Crafts, Stage and Screen Acting, Krav Maga.

Bath Academy's well-established Junior Summer School is the perfect choice for teenagers who want to study English in a beautiful city that is not only considered one of the safest in the UK, but is also full of culture and history and a designated UNESCO heritage site. The school is located in the heart of Bath, a busy and vibrant university town with plenty of sporting and cultural activities.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, students are offered a variety of excursions around the beautiful south-west of England. Bath Academy offers fantastic residential accommodation; there are boarding houses for groups and individuals (limited numbers) as well as homestay options. Residential accommodation is also available at the University of Bath, the YMCA, and Serviced Apartments.  All locations are located at a short distance to the Academy.

The school welcomes students from all over the world, including both individuals and groups. Aimed at 12-16 year olds , classes have a maximum of 13 students per class, and all teachers are fully qualified English Language teaching professionals, vetted according to British Council and UK standards.

In the afternoons students can choose between a wide range of afternoon activities or to attend more English Language lessons.  At this Junior Summer School, Bath Academy only accepts smaller groups and individuals which creates a wide mix of nationalities where the emphasis is on education, making friendships and fun!

Rossall's stunning coastal campus is situated on the Fylde Coast in North West of England. Just one-hour’s drive from Manchester and Liverpool airports.

Rossall offers a fantastic Summer School programme open to pupils aged 11 – 17 from around the globe and is set on a stunning coastal campus. Pupils can choose to stay for a minimum of two weeks or more.  

Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme that has been combined with an exciting range of activities, specialised skills masterclasses and plenty of opportunities for memorable cultural experiences. Careful consideration is given to ensure that all communication during the students’ time here at Rossall Summer School is in English. With this in mind a good balance of nationalities is receruited where possible to the Summer School.

Students study in small classes (maximum 12 students) and in addition to English tuition students can choose from a range of specialised skills, including (depending on the week), tennis, golf, cookery, and football.  There are also Music options.  The Rossall Summer School offers a wonderful chance to make lasting memories and unforgettable experience within an outstanding British boarding school which is nationally recognised for its football, golf, musical and artistic offerings.

The Bucksmore English summer school was created in the 1990s by legendary British Educationalist, Michael Reiser. SKOLA's English Summer School at Gloucester Gate by Regent's Park, London is perfect for younger students taking their first steps in English.

Students learn English in the morning, have lunch, and then follow an afternoon programme of sports, arts, excursions, and leadership. Each week has a theme, and students present their projects to their peers in English every Friday afternoon. Many students join our coach out of London on Saturday, to visit historic places like Oxford, Windsor or Brighton.

They visit the best sights and museums in London once a week and can join the Discover England excursion on Saturday if a parent accompanies them on the trip.

This is an all-inclusive package that mixes learning and fun. The course suits individuals and groups and offers a complete package of lessons, leisure, excursions.

Each week includes

• 20 x 45 minute EFL lessons 
• 4 afternoon and 6 evening activities per week
• 1 full day excursion per week on Saturdays

Situated in the heart of the city, overlooking Westminster and the River Thames, there are 2 choices:  

Explorers (12-14) and Engagers (15-17).  

Explorers and Engagers chose their academic stream from the rich palette of STEAM, Social Studies or Arts while Adventurers embark on a project-based, cross curricular timetable that encourages creativity, critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning.

Accommodations and classrooms for the summer are located at the foot of Westminster Bridge, surrounded by some of the most prestigious and historic buildings in the city.  The single ensuite rooms offer a comfortable and private space to relax after a busy day of learning and sightseeing.

This summer, Windermere School is taking learning beyond the classroom! 

The English programme will bring lessons to life in the stunning Lake District. Imagine practising English by the shores of Lake Windermere, taking a hike in the local Fells, or exploring the charming streets of our touristic towns. It’s all about using the great outdoors to make language learning more fun, meaningful, and memorable.

It’s not just about learning — they have expanded their outdoor adventures! Whether it’s kayaking, hiking, or team-building challenges, every student is encouraged to feel the magic of the Lake District and leave with a sense of adventure and a love for nature.

English Learning Programme - Level of English required - Beginner - advanced - not suitatble for native English speakers.  FEES:  2 weeks £3150   4 weeks £6300

Outdoor Activity Programme - B1+ minimum - yes, suitable for native English speakers.  FEES:  2 weeks £3594   4 weeks  £7188

TWO courses are offered:  Intensive English Language and Advanced English.  The course is run alongside the school's day camps for local children, and all activities are shared between British and international children, resulting in total immersion in the English language.  Having run for ten years, the summer school is delivered and staffed by Bromsgrove School employees and ex-pupils, providing a safe and comfortable experience. Pastoral care is second to none, with the summer school adhering to the same high standards as Bromsgrove's year-round programme. 

Course fees are fully inclusive and cover  airport transfers, accommodation, meals and snacks, laundry service, all lessons and activities, two day trips and one evening excursion per week, and transfers to/from Birmingham or Heathrow airport. The activities sessions are also attended by local day pupils so that the international pupils have the chance to practise their English naturally. Activities on offer include a massive selection – sports, creative arts and technology, dance, fitness, cookery, team games and just about anything else you can think of! Full day excursions are included to destinations such as Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Shakespeare’s Stratford, Oxford and London.

Bromsgrove is one of the top ten day and boarding schools in the UK but also excels at sports - they have featured as a top six school for sport, across 26 different sports for many years. 

Age groups are 8-11 and 12 -15 (parents are welcome to accompany children aged 5-7).  

For 2024, there is a choice of multi activities with local British children attending the day camps, STEM, or Performing arts.   STEM Course Juniors (8 – 11) and Seniors (12-15)

Children spend half their day improving their English during fun and interactive lessons.  Ther remainder of the day is spent alongside British children attending the day camps, giving your child the opporunity to immerse themselves full in an English-speaking environment.

The Intensive English course i designed to develop practical language skills using a topic-based approach, together with debating and presentations across 20 hours per week.

Children have activity options:  football, tennis, swimming, volleyball,, basketball, trampolining - arts & craft (cookery, jewellery making and more, STEM activities - robotics, computer coding, astronomy plus performing arts - singing, dance and drama.

This summer school is managed and operated entirely by Bromsgrove School and its staff, maintaining the same high standards as the year-round school programme with outstanding pastoral care.  Many of the new year round students attend the summer school before enroling in the main school.  

En-suite rooms

This prestigious international summer programme is run by one of the most well-known independent schools in the UK. It has been operating for nearly 50 years and every year welcomes boys and girls from over 35 nationalities.  It is suitable for students learning English as an additional language and for those who are already fluent.

There are academic courses in EAL, Literature with Creative Writing, Computing, International Citizenship (for ages 12-16), Social Entrepreneurship (for ages 12-16) and Our Natural World (for ages 8-11)

The summer school encompasses the Gordonstoun philosophy of internationalism and learning through challenge. As well as academic lessons there is a full programme of sport and creative activities and a six day "adventure programme" on the West coast of Scotland which includes climbing, abseiling and ocean sailing.  On Course 2, a golf programme is an alternative to the adventure days.  There is a very high staffing ratio with one member of staff for every three students. 

Get ready for an exciting 3-day adventure through the heart of London!  Discover iconic landmarks, explore rich history, and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of this incredible city.  From the historic Tower of London and Buckingham Palace to the modern marvels of the London Eye and vibrant neighborhoods like Covent Garden, each day will be filled with must-see attractions and some all important shopping time! 

The trip will wrap up with a magical visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter, where you'll step into the wizarding world to relive the magic of these beloved films, before travelling to Sedbergh to continue your Summer School journey, joining our English + Multi-Activities programme for the remainder of the week.  Pupils will travel by coach to Sedbergh and arrive on 1st July where all children will take part in a multi activities course until Saturday 5th July. For their second week children will then enrol on their chosen programme of English + Creative Arts or English + Multi Activities or English + Multi Sports or English + Outdoor Adventure or Leadership and International Relations Academy.
