Sports Camps

LaLiga, who reached more than 2.8 billion people globally in the 2019/20 season, opened their first football camp in the South East of England at Bede’s Summer School in Summer 2022. LaLiga Camps UK specialises in providing the best possible training environment for male and female players aged 11–17 from the UK and across the world.

LaLiga Football Camp UK offers a unique opportunity for players to live and train like professional footballers. Students immerse themselves in an intensive, professional two-week technical training course sculpted by world-class UEFA Pro certified coaches from LaLiga, one of the strongest leagues in the world that has been home to some of the finest professional footballers from Europe and across the globe.

Accompanying the LaLiga coaches from Spain are a number of former professional players from England who have a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Players will be exposed to LaLiga’s authentic training methodologies with a focus on creating the ‘complete footballer’ through tactical, technical, physical and psychological sessions and workshops. Supporting this is a whole host of advanced high-performance training, video analysis, Sports-Science workshops, live Q&As with a professional footballer, masterclasses and individualised feedback reports. The camp also offers an exclusive platform for players to display their talents through LaLiga Camps Talent ID process. Successful players selected will receive the opportunity to train with an official LaLiga club in Spain over a 10 -day period.

Students will enjoy a minimum of 15 hours of football and up to 12½ hours of language tuition per week. The language lessons are for all English levels from Absolute Beginner (A0). English classes are accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK.

Since 2012, Stonyhurst has united pupils from across the world to experience a Summer like no other. There are two programme routes on offer to cater for different interests – the English with Activities programme and the English with Tennis course. Pupils can explore the English language and develop life skills through lessons, activities and cultural excursions.

All teachers are fully qualified teachers and support each child in their individual learning journey, aiming to improve pupils’ language skills and increase their confidence. Pupils are assigned to a small class of pupils with similar levels of English and their progress is continuously monitored and teaching is tailored accordingly.

Learning English at Stonyhurst has special significance given the College’s rich literary heritage and association with some of the nation’s most loved literature including Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle and the poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins, who spent a vast amount of time at Stonyhurst. Children will benefit from Stonyhurst’s fascinating museum which boasts an impressive array of artefacts, including a rare first edition of Shakespeare’s First Folio.

The most popular course Stonyhurst offers is English with Activities. The programme has been carefully designed for children who wish to improve their English and experience an engaging programme of activities and excursions, from cultural trips to sightseeing to adrenaline-filled sports and creative activities, students make memories at every turn.

This programme is designed for children looking to improve their English Language alongside tennis tuition. In selecting this course, pupils have access to Stonyhurst’s high-performance facilities which include a tennis dome which houses 2 Grand Slam tennis courts and intensive coaching delivered by a team of Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Senior Performance Tennis and Academy Coaches.

Stonyhurst is the UK's leading co-educational Catholic boarding and day school for 3 – 18-year-olds.  Founded in 1593, it is the oldest continuously active Jesuit school in the world. Set in a magnificent Grade I listed building, the College has a fascinating heritage, a fine reputation, and excellent facilities.

Sherborne Language School is a new innovative summer school for students aged 9-17. Located in the picturesque Dorset town of Sherborne, in the South West of the UK, they offer intensive small-group, high-quality English Language Learning and a wide range of activities for young learners to expand and practise their English in a native setting.

The course works exclusively with Sherborne Tennis Academy in offering a full range of professional tennis coaching options for those wishing to combine this with their English studies, as well as those who wish to “live the life" of an elite tennis professional by joining the Intensive Tennis Camp (see below) on a daily or residential basis this summer.

Students will build lifelong friendships in and out of the classroom, on the exciting day trips and excursions and through the  broad range of evening and leisure activities. The friendly and experienced staff aim to make every student’s experience unique and memorable from start to finish.

This two-week programme helps students to develop their dance technique and repertoire, as well as giving them invaluable experience of performing to a live audience. Dancers join English Plus students for their English lessons, which consist of 12½ hours per week of English Skills. The evening entertainment programme provides an opportunity for recreation and fun and is designed to immerse students in the English language and culture in a stimulating and innovative way. Weekend excursions enable students to visit places of interest. These can include a cultural visit to a castle, museum or popular tourist attraction such as the Tower of London or something more recreational such as a shopping trip or visit to a theme park.

On the last Friday, students will perform a demonstration of the work covered in both Classical Ballet and Contemporary training sessions in front of an audience. The performance will include new choreography, created in participation with the students during the course. All dance training is delivered by the ex-ballet dancer and industry professional, Mr Paul Liburd MBE.

This course is a fully-inclusive programme designed  for children aged 8-17. It will improve your child's English, whilst offering them the chance to spend time practising the sport that they love, alongside taking part in other group activities and  excursions. They will have the chance to make friends from all over the world and experience new cultures in a safe, secure campus environment.  The Summer Course plus Tennis is run at the beautiful Downside School, near the historic city of Bath.

This course is a fully-inclusive programme designed  for children aged 8-17. It will improve your child's English, whilst offering them the chance to spend time practising the sport that they love, alongside taking part in other group activities and  excursions. They will have the chance to make friends from all over the world and experience new cultures in a safe, secure campus environment.  The Summer Course plus Horse Riding is run at the beautiful Downside School, near the historic city of Bath. For horse riding students will receive tuition at a locally approved stables in walking, trotting, cantering, jumping, hacking and horse management (according to level).

This bespoke English language curriculum focuses on providing the knowledge, skills and confidence for students to communicate effectively both on and off the field.

Content will cover language needed for day-to-day life on the camp and training sessions so students are able to use their language immediately and communicate with international teammates and coaches, as well as learn about key elements of football such as nutrition, and strength and conditioning.

The coaching curriculum is designed and delivered by Inter Milan Academy, a direct extension of Italian professional football club Inter Milan's Youth Sector. The goal of the "Inter Academy" training is to provide theoretical and practical skills so that each student is able to learn in an effective and rational way. It is a program of the transfer of the technical "know-how" provided by the coaches of F.C. International, based on the Inter Youth Sector training program.

Football Academy

This course is designed for football players to want to enhance their technical, physical, and tactical football skills with professional football coaches.  Lessons are taught by FA qualified coachees on the ouotstanding school facilities.  All students develop their four core technical principles of control, passing, shooting and dribbling.  They will also learn key skills of accuracy, decision  making and teamwork.  As well as the technical aspects of football, the course also covers heatlth and fitness, conditioning and game strategy. 

Tennis Academy
This course is designed for tennis players who want to improve their game and have the opportunity to play competitive tennis whilst learning English. Lessons are taught by LTA qualified coaches on our outstanding school courts. Students will have the opportunity to play singles and doubles games, play on different surfaces and play competitively in the Summer School Tournament.
Students will receive group and 1:1 clinics to improve their ground strokes, service game, net play, volley and overhead shots. Coaching includes video analysis.
As well as the technical aspects of tennis, the course also covers health and fitness, choosing equipment and clothing, game strategy and the rules of tennis. Tennis rackets are provided.

Open to pupils of all abilities, our English + Football course combines a minimum of 15 hours of English tuition every week with 12 hours (4 afternoons) of football.  Pupils are divided into teams according to age and spend their time developing their skills, tactics and game play in a dynamic, fun environment.

This popular course includes coaching and interaction with some of the stars of world football! It takes place on the campus of Oakham School, a traditional English boarding school with outstanding facilities. 

The 15-hour-per-week coaching programme has been written exclusively for Stafford House by football legend Michael Owen and will be delivered by ex-Liverpool Captain and England International Mark Wright, alongside other fully qualified and experienced coaches.

Each weekly training course will include surprise visits by other footballing legends, and opportunities will be available for all students to train with the players as well as taking photos and receiving signed gifts. Whilst we can’t plan any specific player, we can guarantee that it will be an ex-international first team player from one of the top six clubs in England.

This programme gives students an opportunity to improve their football skills under the guidance of specialist Red Star football coaches. Coaching sessions are carried out in small groups and aim to develop the players both individually and as a group. Football skills will include: ball control, passing and moving, agility, positioning, tactics and formations as well as understanding the art of defending and attacking.

This unique programme is delivered using Red Stars School’s teaching philosophy. Tuition will focus on spoken communication and will be based on a syllabus especially designed for those with an interest in football. A dedicated course book will be used for communicating with players, coaching staff, journalists, agents and fans and lessons will cover vocabulary for use on the pitch and in commentaries.

The programme includes a full-day excursion to the brand new £1billion Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. A Free kit pack with Red Stars School shirt, shorts and socks is also included, plus weekly visits from ex-international football players.
