The Junior Course is for children aged 8 to 12 and based at Sedbergh's enclosed Prep School campus - pupils receive up to 22 hours of English per week followed by activities, excursions and evening entertainment. The English lessons are not all classroom-based – the pupils work on group projects, do presentations together, make movies and interact with the local community by interviewing local residents and shop owners. Activities throughout the course include: sailing, golf, horse riding, arts and crafts, football, swimming, tennis, basketball and many more. Students also participate in two full-day excursions per week – city excursions have included: Manchester, Liverpool, York, Durham, Glasgow, London, Newcastle upon Tyne, Blackpool and Edinburgh.
Adventurers is a high quality primary school course for young learners aged 7 to 12. In Adventurers we offer a fully integrated summer course of English language learning and curriculum academic subject study appropriate for the primary age group. Adventurers offers a wide range of curriculum subjects studied through the medium of English and teaches English Language according to the can do principles of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Adventurers benefit from cross curricular lessons taught by experienced primary teachers. Students can put their learning into practice and use their strengths in one area to support themselves-and others- in an area they are less confident in.

Junior Adventurers is an academic, fun packed course for young learners. This is a non-residential programme which students attend from 08.15 - 17.15 from Monday to Friday.
